Twin Energy
TWIN ENERGY
Rumford, ME 18MW
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Twin Energy is a proposed wind energy project in Rumford, Maine on South Twin Mountain. Utilizing three 6.1 MW turbines, this project will bring 18.3 MW of clean energy to the Northeast. This project will offset about 16.5 million tons of CO₂ per year.
The partners developing this project commissioned the neighboring RoxWind project in 2021. Having been involved in Oxford County since 2015, we are proud to have a strong relationship with the local community. Beyond the environmental benefits that this project will bring, the economic and community advantages include millions of dollars of new property taxes, payments to landowners, and a community benefits agreement. We are excited to continue our partnerships with the local community as we develop, construct, and commission this project.
