WGBH Solar Panels

BRIGHTON
Massachusetts

In 2007, local news station WGBH relocated to Brighton. With their move, they sought to become a greener corporation and solicited to have solar panels installed on their new roof.

Palmer affiliate, Solaya Energy LLC, provided all materials, labor, and supervision to the build.
The project is an early example of our team’s commercial and industrial (C&I) work. There are 531 solar panels on the roof producing 100kW of electricity, which helps offset the electricity consumption of a major radio and television station.

This project aided in the WGBH headquarters being named one of Boston’s greenest buildings by the American Institute of Architects and then-Mayor Thomas Menino.
