The Palmer team is always up to something exciting. Follow us on social media to stay up to date on our upcoming endeavors.
After a productive week at #cleanpower2022, Palmer got back on the road to scope out a site for another utility scale solar project 🌞
This week, Sumul Shah and Lindsay Deane-Mayer from the Palmer team head to @uscleanpower! We are looking forward to meeting our clean energy colleagues at the conference. See you there! #cleanpower2022
This week, we had the joy of teaching 3rd graders in Boston about wind energy. Climate change will impact generations to come and these students proved that everyone, no matter the age, can be involved in the solution!
Today, we celebrate the strides that have been made in investing in our planet through renewables. We are proud to contribute to the climate solution by offsetting 325 Million tons (and counting!) of carbon to date with our wind and solar projects. Happy Earth Day! 🌏
We are very excited to support the inaugural South Shore Eco Fest. On April 29th, @southshoreecofest will bring local sustainable businesses and non-profits together on the Cohasset Commons. Don't miss out on this day of live music, contests, and sustainability!
Even on days when it doesn't feel so sunny, solar projects are hard at work☀️
Producing energy since 2017, CohSolar brings 515 kW of clean electricity to our hometown of Cohasset, MA. The project has saved the town $260k in just 4 years– with more to come!
As #womenshistorymonth comes to a close, we celebrate the women who have made renewable energy possible. Dr. Mária Telkes, the "Sun Queen," was one of the first researchers devoted to harnessing the energy of the sun. In 1948, she developed the first solar-heated house, right in Palmer's home state of MA. Thanks to the groundwork laid by Dr. Telkes and countless other women, we are able to deploy modern solar technologies and create a more sustainable future.
Being an active partner in the communities we work in is a staple of every Palmer project. One of our favorite community events was a fundraising ATV ride using our wind project access road. The fundraiser supported @teamhaileyhugs - a local non-profit dedicated to fighting childhood cancer. Check out the work that Hailey Hugs is doing!
Our team has begun putting up a meteorological tower to measure the wind speed for a new project we are developing. We're thrilled to be bringing more clean, renewable energy to our communities!
As a child, I visited Yellowstone with my family and was awestruck by the nature around me. The region was still in its natural state because 150 years ago today, Yellowstone became the first National Park in the U.S., protecting it for decades to come. Preserving our natural environment is why I work in clean energy at Palmer- through renewables, we can slow the effects of climate change and protect our ecosystems. Happy birthday Yellowstone!
As we look back on our work in 2021, we are incredibly proud of the completion of the RoxWind project. Bringing a project online is the culmination of many years of focus by the entire development team, the community, and various stakeholders. We are grateful to everyone who participated in this project from concept to operation. A 15 MW installation with 4 @gerenewableenergy wind turbines, RoxWind will generate clean energy for decades to come.
