At Palmer, we believe education is key to solving the world's climate challenges. We work with students of all ages to share our knowledge of renewable energy and engage them in moving toward a sustainable future.
Recently, our two interns had the opportunity to climb a wind turbine, here's what they had to say:
"With heavy harness strapped around, climbing a 300-foot tower was a sweet sweaty experience. A tad frightening. But the moment you get to the top of the tower all of it's worth it. What an amazing engineering craftsmanship it is. Best part was listening to all of the stories and the journey of the turbine while literally sitting on the top of it with a bird's-eye view. Fun fact: You have phone service on the top of the turbine and your boss patiently waits for you to Facetime everyone." - Mrudula
"The climb was super challenging but the view was totally worth it! It was such a unique experience and everyone Iโve told has been jealous. You can see for miles from the top of the nacelle. While my internship is over soon, the memories from this trip will last forever." - Kevin
Palmer is a proud sponsor of @southshoreecofest 2023. This annual event showcases environmentally sustainable companies in a family friendly, outdoor venue. Come learn about small and large steps you can take to live greener while enjoying live music, supporting local businesses, and connecting with likeminded people.
Today, our spring interns are reaching new heights as they climb to the top of a wind turbine. From on top of the nacelle, they will gain a new perspective of the important work we're doing together to tackle climate change. ๐๐๐
Thanks to the Town of Cohasset's Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) program, it was a simple process for our office to buy extra renewable energy to power our operations. We elected to increase our renewable energy purchase to meet 100% of our office's needs with MA Class I RECs. Thanks to CCA, it is easy being green! โ๐ก๐
Spring in New England is a great opportunity to get out of the office and into the field. We spent #earthmonth2023 visiting projects and connecting as a team to learn more about the work we're doing to give back to the Earth, in April and throughout the year. Happy Earth Month 2023!
Sumul and Lindsay are heading to New Orleans in May for #cleanpower23 . They are looking forward to joining our colleagues from the #cleanpower industry at this annual event. Will you be there? Drop us a note and letโs connect in person.
On the 11th anniversary of Scituate Windโs commissioning on Earth Day 2012, we congratulate the Town of Scituate for its foresight and celebrate its savingsโฆ nearly $2.75 million to date. Thatโs a win-win for the environment and the Townโs bottom line. We are proud to partner with communities and institutions from Maine to Hawaii to help them participate in the clean energy transition. Happy Earth Day! ๐
This past week members of our team toured the Wind Turbine Blade Testing facility located here in Boston. Itโs the largest such site in the US and it was amazing to see the process at work! Thank you @masscec for hosting our visit!
Weโre looking for outgoing and energetic students to engage with community organizations to promote solar development. The ideal candidate speaks Spanish and is interested in marketing, communications and civic engagement.
Students must meet the requirements of the MassCEC Internship program, including the requirement to be a MA resident or college student. The full requirements and application process can be found here: tinyurl.com/b39n87yp
Contact us if you're interested or need help with the application process
Developing renewable energy in communities also means developing long lasting relationships. In Roxbury, Maine, we cemented that relationship via a renewable scholarship fund which will provide stipends to students for many years to come.

We're excited to welcome Mrudula to Palmer. With her background in electrical engineering and solar design, she's already an active part of our solar development team. ๐
We're happy to welcome two new members to our team. First off is Kevin Breen. He's a fourth-year student at @northeastern studying environmental engineering. He's excited to be working on our wind projects and is even prospecting new locations!
What a ride this has been! We want to thank our co-ops and congratulate them for completing their semester-long experiential learning! Congrats, and Palmer wishes you the best Arnav @pokharkar_arnav & Alicia! ๐
We are excited to receive new @northeastern co-ops for the Spring of 2023, and we can't wait to see what exciting projects they develop! โก๐๐
Community projects are the best! One of our favorite events to host is a blade signing, where community members can see, touch, and sign the blades before theyโre installed. ๐๐๐จ
Have you thought about where your energy comes from today? Weโre working hard to bring more green energy online so weโll all have a cleaner, more sustainable future! ๐๐
Did you know that the US wind industry currently employs ~120,000 people, including 23,600 in manufacturing and 43,400 in construction?*
With more and more states and companies committing to green energy, these are exciting times for the industry, and we expect job opportunities to keep growing!

We want to congratulate our friends at OneWay Development for their partnership with the @cityofboston and for being recognized by Mayor Michelle Wu @wutrain for their efforts to develop affordable & sustainable housing for Boston's residents. This new housing project will bring homeownership opportunities to many Bostonian residents who could not afford a home due to the housing crisis, helping prevent displacement.๐
This morning, Palmer's partner, @sumulshah , taught high school students at @clarkschoolma about renewable energy including wind and solar energy and the skills needed to work in this industry that keeps growing!
It is great to see youths' interest in solutions that will help mitigate the effects of climate change! ๐๐๐
